2025 YOUTH SUMMER CAMPS |
The youth camps are for those entering Kindergarten through entering 7th graders. There are 5 separate camps offered throughout the summer.
We will cover all aspects of the game – Fielding, Throwing, Hitting, Baserunning, and will do pitching instruction for the campers of that age. Each Camper will have their hitting video’d and analyzed by a member of the Samford Baseball coaching staff.
All youth camps are from 9:00 to 12:00 each day and from Monday through Thursday. Check In will take place the first day of each camp from 8:30 to 9:00 at the stadium. The cost of each camp is $200.00 and includes $5.00 towards the “Snack Bank” for the week during camp breaks, a Samford Water Bottle, and camp t-shirt.
COST INCLUDES: $5 towards the "Snack Bank" for the week during camp breaks and camp t-shirt.
INSTRUCTION: Campers will be filmed hitting & have their swing analyze. The camp will cover fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, pitching, and base running.
GROUPS: Campers divided by age into small groups, keeping the coach to player ratio low. They will have the opportunity to be placed with friends at camp.
GAMES: on days 2, 3 and 4 the campers will participate in scrimmage games. The games will include age & ability specific instruction from staff
WEATHER: Our state of the art Indoor hitting facility will be used to battle both heat and precipitation this summer
SAMFORD BASEBALL & CAMP STAFF: The Summer Baseball Camp staff will be directed by Head Coach Tony David with assistance from the entire Samford baseball staff, current and former Samford baseball players, as well as other college players, college coaches and local high school coaches.
Tony David, Head Coach/Camp Coordinator, 20th season at Samford. Helped build the Samford baseball program to top of the SoCon & three NCAA Regionals with over 30 drafted players. Oversees all aspects of the camps.
Tyler Shrout, Pitching Coach, handles all aspects of the pitching staff and assists in recruiting efforts after several successful years as Pitching coach at Lipscomb and Birmingham Southern.
Cam Shepherd, Assistant Coach, finished 2nd year on staff former U of Georgia and Braves organization player. Drafted multiple times. Considered top defender in country.
REFUND POLICY: There is a NO REFUND policy for the camp. If you are unable to attend for any reason, we will happily transfer the camp fee to a later camp. If the camps are forced to be delayed or pushed back for any reason we will also transfer the camp fee to later in the summer on the next year as needed. We will insure the fees will be applied to a full week of camp.
Tony David Baseball Camps are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
